I am a 17-year-old high school junior interested in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Engineering.
Education
Bullis School, Potomac, MD: High School Diploma (Expected May 2026), GPA: 4.0/4.0, cum laude, Relevant coursework: AP Computer Science A, Creative Coding, Intro to Engineering (dual-enrolled with The University of Texas Austin), Maker Lab II, Making for Social Good.
Tufts University, Boston, MA(Summer 2024): Engineering with Artificial Intelligence, Final project: Built a generative model using transformers to generate and display colors based on text descriptions.
InspiritAI, Online(Summer 2023): Conceptualized AI using linear and logistic regression models, Projects included: Determining whether breast cancer cells were malignant or benign, Training computer vision models for autonomous cars, Detecting misinformation in news websites.
Projects
AllocateAI(2023): AllocateAI is a planner app I made for the iPhone in the Congressional App Challenge (Jamie Raskin's district). It was awarded a runner-up. The app would take a long task (or homework assignment) and use Artificial Intelligence (Google's Gemini) to break it into smaller tasks. I used SwiftUI and Python to build the app.
My Summer Day Animation(2022): As a part of the class called Creative Coding, I created an animation that described a surrealist view of a summer day. This included a scenic drive (in traffic) through a mountain ridge with a rainbow behind it, using hardcoded geometric shapes.
Treasures Judaica Gift Shop(2020): In 2020, I helped a brick-and-mortar shop run by senior citizens create their online website, a necessity for their shop during COVID. I first built an e-commerce site using Lightspeed, and then taught the employees (over Zoom) how to populate the site with their products, images, and more. I also showed them how to schedule pickup times and consulted for them whenever they had an issue. It was a fun experience that taught me how to explain technical concepts in simple terms.
Retrieval Augmented Generation(2024): With the permission of my math teacher, I trained a retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) model on my class textbook. This model searches and pulls the most relevant pages based on meaning, and outputs them for the user to read and use with tools like ChatGPT.
Awards

11th Grade:
AI Club: Along with a friend, I co-created the AI Club at my school. It is a place to discuss new advances in AI, its responsible use, and to learn how to use AI to get exactly what you want. I believe this club will help its members learn how to make AI work for them, so they don’t wind up working for AI.
Intro to Engineering: I am taking a class called "Intro to Engineering" where we explore different types of engineering, such as mechanical, electrical, reverse, civil, and computer. I am also taking this course dual-enrolled with The University of Texas Austin. Submitting to UT Austin a 16-ish page paper detailing work completed in class.
Research Design and Methods: The prerequisite for a STEM Capstone, learning how to do scientific research, create and compile a research paper. The final project is creating a piece of furniture inspired by a famous architect.
10th Grade:
AP Computer Science A: In AP Computer Science A, I learned how to use Java and developed a deeper understanding of classes, methods, parameters, and other coding concepts. I created projects, such as edge detection and a simple IF statement chatbot, and scored a 4 on the AP exam.
9th Grade:
Creative Coding: In Creative Coding, I used p5js to create visually appealing artwork using code. I experimented with Bezier curves and learned how to enhance my loops. I also created a project which is now the demo for the class. I was ineligible to take the class as a freshman, due to lacking the math prerequisite, but I was able to appeal and take it anyway.
Making for Social Good: This class helped me learn about consumer-targeted engineering and the engineering design process. I worked with 3D printers, laser cutters, and other shop tools to design and create an Eye Gazing Board for kids with ALS to help them communicate with their teachers.
Maker Lab II: In Maker Lab II, I spent more time with 3D design and printing and began experimenting with Arduinos. I created a LED light stand for a gramophone for an Amazon Alexa. I used an individually addressable LED matrix to create a sound graph for the output of the Alexa. I called it the "Gramazon".
